NaPoWriMo Day 1

Ha! Are you surprised? I am. Then again, today’s NaPoWriMo poetry task is pretty short with a total of 13 (!) syllables. I can manage that. Easily.

Goodbye is a word
I dislike
But deserve so much

Variant with 13 words:

Where you went is unclear
But doesn’t matter
As long as you remember

(Warning: if I continue submitting poems, they will probably all be sad – blame a certain angel for that…)

NaPoWriMo Day 4: “Smitten”

Hello again! Another day of National Poetry Writing Month! (btw, I hope it doesn’t matter that technically I’m not part of the US nation…) Today’s prompt was to write a “lune”, the English version of a haiku with the format 3-5-3 words (I had no idea this existed). I decided to also write a “traditional” haiku with 5-7-5 syllables. The topic I took from WordPress’s daily prompt: “jealousy”

Smitten

You kiss her

You buy me a drink

Stop being handsome!

You grin and she faints

You say I’m the only one

Wish I could just leave
