NaPoWriMo Day 12: “Lesson of the Fox”

The second Saturday of NaPoWriMo, I hope you’re all enjoying the spring (or the autumn, if you live in the southern hemisphere).

Today’s prompt was to write a replacement poem: choose a noun for a physical thing, google it, and replace the noun with one for an inanimate thing. I chose “fox” and replaced it with “trust” in this Wikipedia article. Thus I found pieces of wisdom like “Trust is normally extremely wary of humans” and “Trust is an omnivore”. Which is apt, I think.

Lesson of the Fox

Wary of humans

Omnivore of city life

Trust, our great virtue
